1964 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Sedan For Sale

This truly incredible time warp all original survivor car is an amazing find.
Just 41k miles from new and entirely original and unrestored.
Still looks showroom fresh 55 years later...just astonishing.

The car was bought new by a General Motors Executive as a personal car.
It was used sparingly and always garaged. It went from him directly to a Corvair collector in North Carolina
where it was a star member of his collection.  From that owner it came to sunny Southern California where it is today.

It is definitely a museum quality example and shows extremely well inside and out.

The car is obviously a 4 door hardtop model with that amazing signature flat top roof line that dates back to
the late 50's. The crisp body line around the car works in perfect harmony with the design and
it is an extremely attractive machine if only for the design aspect.

This is original paint and original chrome, the car is as near mint as they come

The Monza model was the upscale trim level and it shows well in this example.

All wheel covers and body trim are present and in excellent original condition.

Excellent period correct thin whitewall tires on all four corners.

Handles and trim are all clean and still glistening with original chrome .

Bow tie logo Chevy mirrors

Excellent glass and rubber and even the wipers are the correct original units.

The Corvair name was a blend of "Corvette" and "Bel Air" that was first applied to a GM concept car
in 1954 as a part of the Motorama exhibition.
It was reused on this new compact line of cars for Chevrolet.

The rear engine and air cooled design, much like the VW,
allowed for a clean front end without the need for a grille opening.

The flat top roof line with rear overhang and panoramic rear class allowed for exceptional
rear vision ad a very distinctive design element.

The condition of this car is just fantastic.
The owner states that this is all original inside and out, not a restored car in any way.

Just fantastic

Even clean and clear in the fuel cap area.

Under the front hood is wonderfully clean and original as well.

Original GM replacement fan belt is included

Original jack in its holder

Even the original glass washer fluid bottle is here with the factory GM label!

Just fantastic!
Dual stage mater cylinder is a wise and simple bolt on upgrade.

Check out the factory applied jacking instruction sticker still affixed under the hood.

Rock solid and rust free, the body is exceptionally straight and smooth down the sides.

Rear engine compartment is clean and very well detailed.

All the proper factory bits are here and the car is an exceptional driver.
Runs very smooth and strong and is solid and firm on the road.

Very nice

GM body code tag

Very clean under the engine lid as well.

This looks like it could be a photo from the factory...yet it was just taken 55 years after
the car came off the assembly line.

Plenty of room for everybody!

The car features the factory 4 speed manual transmission and the interior is shockingly clean and original.

Impressive original upholstery.

Even the driver side door sill is clean and bright and shows only the most minimal wear.

Doors and windows all function smoothly as they should

Just wow!

Dash pad is in impressive shape with no cracks or damage

Day/ Night mirror

Factory Chevrolet radio

Service stickers in the door jam.
Hints of its history and of excellent care.

What a great car!!

The tachometer is the only non factory item on the car and it was installed
obviously to measure the engine speed. The engine runs so smooth I can see how this would be nice to have
and for the purists out there it would be very simple to remove with no lasting damage.

Steering wheel and horn push are excellent

Pedals and carpet barely show any hint of wear.

Headliner is superb

Its just hard to imagine that you would ever find a better , more well preserved original example of
a 64 Corvair 4 door anywhere, ever.  These were not expensive high end cars that received amazing care like a Cadillac
these were built to be driven by the average Joe.  In this case, the "Joe" was anything but average and as a result
of decades of amazing care and service, this car still looks and runs fresh. Its something you really need to see to believe.
Great car and a great price.
