This bright red happy 74 Beetle is a repeat customer here at Oldbug.com.
It was advertised on our site about 5 years ago and it's owner has really loved it and enjoyed it and has kept it
up quite well. A move for work is in the near future and the Beetle can not come along..so it is up for sale once again.

The array of smaller photos below here show the car as it is today...towards the bottom of the page are larger photos of the car when it was posted before.
It still looks great and runs well.

The photos and details below are the original ad for the car about 5 years  ago or so...you can see the car has been well treated and it holding up very well.
The photos and info below are for reference...the pix above are the current ones. Looking at the odometer shots it has only a couple thousand more miles on it!

But the original ad and text below tell a lot of the story...and the pix are better...so here it all is...

Here is a "late model" Beetle Sedan that has had a whole lot of love and attention thrown at it in recent
time by it's current owner, a very kind older gentleman from the Los Angeles area.
He's not driving it as much as he used to and prefers his cushier car these days, but he still has fun with it from time to time.

Its been mildly customized with a unique blend of bolt on accessories and has a nice shiny coat
of paint on it. Its an attention grabber on the road.
This would be a perfect budget driver or a great tow car for pulling behind an RV.

The custom bumpers and running boards, the sun visor and custom wheels...pretty fun.

One of the big bonuses with this car is a freshly rebuilt engine...and I mean FRESH!
The engine had about 30 miles on it at the time of these photos!

The bumpers are pretty slick...bolting straight on to the factory mounts
and made of a nice heavy tubular steel. A good bit stronger than the factory blade I imagine.

The body is nice and straight and the paint has a nice gloss to it.

Heres a detail shot of the bumper mounts.

Freshly rebuilt 1600cc dual port engine is clean and runs very well.
Only abou 30 miles on the engine at the time of these photos!

Bottom side of the engine...

Chassis looks nice and solid.

No signs of any serious rust or wild repairs.

Disc brakes on the front are a nice upgrade

Straight and smooth down the sides.
Here you can see the running boards/side bars a little more clearly.
All just bolt on stuff, easy to put back to stock if desired.

Chrome wheels are pretty cool...not a common wheel.
Tires are in good condition.

Front bumper is a combination of two custom deals, a nice tube bumper like the rear and a chrome
Dune buggy style nerf bar. The tube bumper mounts to the factory brackets while the nerf bar bolts just inboard
of the factory mounts. The headlight eyebrows add some character as well.

Another angle.

Sun visor is a slick fiberglass unit. Pretty beefy.

Custom mirrors.

Stick on gravel guards... here you can see the brackets for the side bars...easy bolt on and bolt off affair.
Much stronger than the flimsy originals too.

Sleepy....you are getting sleepy...

Seats are wild custom units with a great 70's look to them. A bit of wear on the drivers side seat back edge
otherwise in nice shape.

Custom modern steering wheel, clean dash Alpine stereo, extra gauges.

Oil temp and oil pressure gauges nicely fit in the dash.

Rear seat is upholstered to match the fronts.

Headliner in nice shape.

No sun visors inside...with the exterior visor they are really not needed.

Under the front hood is pretty basic...not detailed...could use a carpet kit or trunk liner perhaps.

Front apron.
Here in this shot you can see the brackets for the nerf bar... pretty stout.

Bottom side of the hood.

Another shot with the hood closed.

All in all a pretty clean Beetle with some true personality.
Its not a show winner and certainly not a proper "original" restoration but it looks like
a good solid example that is overall presentable and with a fresh rebuild on the engine
it should prove to be a good runner and driver for it's next owner.

So those big pics show it in detail a few years back...the smaller shots up top show it today.
Only a couple thousand miles have been put on it between the photo shoots...it is still a great little car and is going to be a fun one for someone.

So...who's gonna give Ol Red here it's next new home?
Is it you?
