1967 VW Bus For Sale

Is there the front of a vehicle any more iconic of the 60's than this?
I sure dont think so...the classic Split Screen VW Bus is it, and there is little wonder
why they are so in demand these days world wide.
They are just so cool.

This 1967 model is located here in Southern California and it is a very nice example with that overall
vintage look but with a few mild upgrades. It is clean and tasteful and is a wonderful driver.

This Bus was restored about 7 years ago and has been driven only about 800 miles since that time.
It has been used for a few photo shoots in the Hollywood area, and is always garaged and kept safe from the elements.

The color of Velvet Green and White is a classic and the quality of the paint and bodywork on this Bus seems very nice.
It was reportedly a "'bare metal" respray...all old layers removed to get to the solid base metal.

The interior has been fully redone and the seats stitched with a modern design and padding.

It is a factory "walk thru" front seat Bus which is quite desirable.
It has the optional Safari Windows which are very high on the "cool factor scale"
Dash looks super clean and un-modified.

Some areas of the interior were left is shiny painted metal rather than covered with panels or material as original.
The areas directly arund the side windows and the backs of the front seat divider wall as an example.
The finish is very clean and while not 100" "correct" from the restoration point fo view
it still looks very clean and tidy inside.

Good looking interior.

Love those Safari Windows!!

The engine is a very strong running single port 1600cc unit.
All stock with the exception of a mechanical advance distributor.
The engine room looks nice and clean and the owner says it is a great driver!

Underside of the engine looks very clean and dry. Seeing the shine off the pushrod tubes underneath is
a good sign that hints toward a recent rebuild and it sure is re-assuring to not have the bottom of the engine or trans being all
wet with oil or caked with dirt...this one looks nice!

The underside of the body looks solid.
You can see that there was some minor panel replacement during the restoration.
Here in this photo taken under the passenger side of the Bus, the seam where the
old and new metal mate up.

The front end looks good, the proper splash pan is installed under the cab and everything was cleanly undercoated.

Looks very solid underneath.

The floors in the Bus appear solid, but were treated with a rough black texture coat
rather than being painted smooth as original.
Its not super pretty under the mats but the metal seems solid and when the mats are down it looks as sweet as you like.

Here on the cargo floor it is the same thing.
You can see the section of floor metal that was replaced at some point.

Rear luggage deck was also sprayed with the black texture coat.

The suspension of the Bus was slightly lowered from stock.
The ride is still decent...it is not "slammed" like so many.

There are a couple small paint chips and minor flaws here and there...it is not "perfect"
but it is very very nice.

The reflection down the drivers side is super smooth.
It takes a lot of work to get them like this!

Fit and finish of the body is very nice indeed.

Some more interior shots...seats and headliner are excellent.
Nice to see seat belts at all points as well so you can load in the family and cruise safe.

The wood slat roof rack is a great accessory that adds some style and function at the same time.

Original radio still in the dash.

Euro style fluted glass lenses in the headlights.

The seats are all original frames by the way, just the padding and stitching of the material give them this modern look.

Room for the whole crew!

This is a "Standard Microbus" model, or for you window counters, it is the "11 window" model.

Love that rack!

Window rubbers, door seals, and all the body gaskets are in good shape and were new when the restoration was done.

Tires are excellent quality Continental brand with the nice thin whitewalls
on two tone painted original wheels.

I love this photo...nice shot!

This is another great photo...the palm trees and beach in the background...makes you want to be there!

Very sharp looking ride!

Spare wheel is painted to match...rear luggae deck has a nice rubber mat.

Very nice inside and out.

In closing this is a clean Bus that will make a fantastic play toy for someone.
Well done, great style and a true turn key runner just as it sits.
Throw your boards up on the rack and aim for the coast...you will get a lot of waves and smiles along the way!!
