1956 VW "Wolfsburg" Kombi
This is one of the coolest VW Busses I think I have ever seen!
Fantastic original logos, droolingly beautiful patina
and add to that that it is a "Wolfsburg" Bus, meaning it was right after the Barndoor
era before production moved to Hannover.
The Bus is totally fresh and perfect inside and mechanically it too is perfect.
Mostly riginal paint in the interior...everything really well detailed.
Check out the early style mirror and visors.
Speedometer restored and rebuilt... reset at the time of the rebuild of mechanicals and such...
less than 1000 miles on it.
The signwriting on the Bus is truly fantastic...with good ol "Metro Mike" on the flanks.
And the other side...
The patina on this Bus is wonderful...the way the blue paint has worn away and
the primer shows through, and the surface rust in spots...but the Bus
is impressively solid!!

The finish is very consistant over the whole Bus which seems to be the biggest challenge
for folks to find... this is the real deal here...Mother Nature's finest!
The mechanicals have all been fully sorted, the fuel tank restored, the engine all new,
brakes and all working parts checked and attended to.
It is a Bus that can truly be driven anywhere!
I like the details like the crank start apron and the Bosch logo on the battery.
But that engine doesnt look like a 36 horse!
The engine in fact is a pro built 1600cc dual port that retains the vintage look, but allows the Bus to be
wonderfully driveable in today's world.
I like the Veedol maintenance sticker on the side here too...details everywhere.
The interior has been fully sorted and restored and is in fantastic shape.
The exterior speaks for itself!
New tires on restored wheels.
Year of manufacture California plates.
The equally faded roof rack is a nice touch..
Minty perfect door panels and soft bits.
Correct early center seat.
Super clean.
Very sanitary!!
Matching spare behind the seat.
Seat upholstery is wonderfully done.
Great clean dash.
So cool!
In closing this is a serious "one of a kind" Bus that will draw huge crowds at all events.
The logos, the interior, the paint fade, the solid body, the spot-on mechanicals...this is a dream Bus!
