1966 VW Beetle Convertible For Sale

Ok... WOW!
Drop dead gorgeous ride here folks, you are going to love this one.

This beautiful Beetle is based in Southern California and is the result of a
three year quest to find and build a top level car with no expense spared.
Starting with a superbly solid and never hit original car, the folks at D&J Auto went all the way with it.
Top level interior, exterior and mechanics, this is a well built and well sorted machine that aims to please.

Fantastic custom leather interior in the car.

Canvas top is well fit and all window frames and seals are superb.

Custom mixed PPG paint color was chosen by the owner and it was laid down by the masters at California Classics.
Extra paint is included should you ever need a touch up.

The car was completed about two years ago and has been driven minimally, stored well
and maintained perfectly. It still remains very fresh in appearance, stellar and ready to show.

Color combination between interior and exterior color works so very well.
Tasteful choices such as the grey carpets and natural fiber coco mats.
It all has a very pleasing flow to it, very classy and very cool.

The custom armrests on the door panels are a brilliant touch, adding a bit of modernity and style
into the interior. Note the trim panels on the seat frames as well...another sweet custom touch.
Oh...and those seats are heated as well...perfect for those top down evening runs!

The black canvas top against the gun metal grey paint is perfection.
Euro taillights add some color to the back end and the car is registered with California year of manufacture plates.

Underneath the car is rock solid and well sorted.
Heater channels, wheel arches and floor pans are all dreamy original metal
and there are no signs of repair or any body damage in the past.

Vintage Speed shifter, Period look modern audio system, nice array of instruments below the dash.

All controls are clean and well detailed.

Headliner is done in a very nice mohair material that adds great color and warmth to the interior.
A much classier choice than the normally seen pinpoint vinyl.

Out back is no 1300, despite what the emblem says!
This is a pro built 2176cc balanced and blueprinted motor with
44IDF Weber Carbs, and all the top tricks when it comes to
air and oil flow and cooling. It is mated to a built trans matched to the engine and
geared for todays world.  It is a very fun car to drive with comfortable cruising speeds
as well as a hearty seat pin when you mash the "go pedal".
In addition it retains a fully functional heater and of course 12 volt electrics.

The interior is my favorite part of the car I must admit.
Those colors and the smell of the leather just do it for me.

Polished aluminum door sill trims add a nice look and protect the threshold.
All new seat belts installed for safety.

The wood rim GT steering wheel is a very nice touch as well and the polished spokes
pick up the detail trim on the dash and the grab handle.
It all just "works".

The suspension is set low as is the style and the gorgeous Porsche Fuchs wheels are a natural choice.

The paint color and finish is excellent.

Original front and rear aprons...never hit or repaired.

All stock body trim and details retained so the classic feel of it remains pure.

Matching spare wheel and tire fits well into the detailed trunk.
Wiring harness is all new and cleanly installed.

Cool fluted glass headlight lenses. Stock jack has been restored and put in the proper place.

Very very cool rear speaker deck behind the back seat.

Interior is so sweet.

Wilwood disc brakes with cross drilled rotors.
Nicely detailed center caps on the wheels.
This is a sweet ride.

Excellent fit and finish inside and out.

Matching black canvas top boot

In closing this one is a stand out.
Great build, no expense spared (the owner states $75k invested!)
It really is a stunner.
