And now for something completely different!
This custom built 1961 VW Camper is a truly incredible adventure machine.
This was a full custom build that was done in Europe a few years ago
and it was brought to the US for a big adventure trip.
Once the trip was over, the rig was sold to the current owner here in Southern California.
This was a full restoration from top to bottom, a lot of custom fabrication
and an incredible list of upgrades. The work done was truly of show quality as well as you will see in the pics.
Excellent fit and finish, beautiful paint, all accessories and bits appear like new.
Starting with a double cab transporter, the rear bed was removed and
the custom camper body installed on a professionally built frame.
As you sight down the side of the camper body you can see how smooth and glossy this is.
Really impeccable finish and such a unique and curious shape.
The underside is as impressive as the top
Very nicely done with 2.0 litre Type 4 engine and late model Bus transmission.
Dual 44 Weber carbs with K&N filters
9500 miles on the whole build, runs excellent.
The interior is very modern, fully equipped and incredibly comfy.
