1958 VW Beetle Ragtop Sedan For Sale

This sweet 58 Sunroof Beetle has had a fresh body off restoration this
past year
with very few miles on it since completion.

The car was pretty solid to start with, with only the battery area of
the floorpan needing replacement.
The color is Fjord Blue. The paint is actually a few years old...the
project was started and stalled
and then completed just recently. It is a base coat/ clear coat
paint job.

All new hardware was used during the assembly and the majority of the
parts were purchased from
Wolfsburg West. Stainless steel body trim, the blue runningboard mats
and sunroof cover..
it is a very clean and attractive car.

The hex aluminum T bars came from FAT Performance, the BRM replica
wheels are wrapped with nice new rubber.

The interior is pretty wild with the inserts and panels trimmed with
plaid cloth from a 1970's Westfalia Camper!

Very bright and unique...I love it.
You will certainly be the only one at the shows with this interior!

The material was purchased from Wolfsburg West and it is of very high
quality.

The big cloth sunroof is a major selling point on this one.
Its a factory ragtop and the blue canvas cover looks great with the
body color!

Very classic traditional "Resto Cal" look.

Headliner is new.

Glass is all original except for the windshield.
All new window rubbers with trim and all other body seals replaced.

Really a great looker!

The VW emblem at the top of the hood was shaved off and the bump
that
was in the hood under it, flattened to match the early model style.

Car is clean and well detailed in the spare tire well.

Whole trunk looks very tidy.

The dash is all stock with no radio currently.
The LeCarra leather wrapped steering wheel is very nice and the VDO
150mph speedometer give it some hot rod appeal.

Carpet is clean and well fit...door jams look nice.

The engine is a rebuilt 40 horse...converted to 12 volt electrics,
It has a couple of vintage hot rod parts on it but it is primarily
stock...so the car is all show with little go!
The engine does run very nice though...it is a good driver.
Engine tins were powder coated and the finish looks good.

The car has less than 100 miles on it since completion, so you are
getting something that is very fresh.
There are a few details left to do, such as install the wipers, and a
radio...just little stuff.

But cosmetically she is sweet.

The car is an amazing bargain considering the work done to it and all
the new parts.

More under hood shots... nice!

Brackets for the stock bumpers are included...but no blades.

Wiper motor needs installation.
12 volt armature is included.

There are a couple small flaws here and there if you look super
close...like this little chip.

Chrome on the door handles is not perfect..

A couple pits in the vent wing frame chrome as well.

On the bottom of the hood you can see the bodywork done to flatten the
bump.

Fender wells were painted and look nice.

Paint finish is very glossy and gives a clean reflection.

Stock split case transmission.

Chassis looks sound and solid.

Disc brakes in the front is a great upgrade!

The underside of the engine is a little scrappy looking.
The story with the engine is that it was rebuilt and then left sitting
in a garage for many years...its not all shiny perfect underneath
but the owner states that it runs very nice!

Here you can see the repair under the battery...cleanly done...solid at
least.

Nice Euro style headlight lenses.

Adjustable front beam looks all new.

I like the new hardware used to bolt the fenders on and such...this was
no "quickie" restoration.

The car is located in the state of Tennessee, the title is clean and
clear and the owner will be happy
to see it on a truck to wherever its new home might be.
He has it priced at a truly fantastic level, so this one should sell
very fast!
