1965 VW Beetle For Sale
Here is a very nice 1965 Beetle Sedan based here in Southern California.
It is a very solid car underneath that pretty exterior and it is a very good runner and driver.
It features a factory sunroof which is a very desirable option!
The car is really quite tidy.
It is not a show car level restoration but as you can see it is very attractive and clean
and has that very stock original look to it that is just perfect on a car like this.
Not hot rodded out or customised...just a sweet old stocker Beetle.
The paint is recent and looks very nice.
This is "ruby red", which is the original color for this car.
The engine has been upgraded to a 1600cc dual port.
It has been converted to 12 volt electrics over the original 6 volt.
The engine appears quite clean and the owner states that it is a great runner.
I notice here that the firewall material has been removed...replacement material is readily available and
would go a long way in making the engine compartment look "right" as well as keep interior noise down a little.
Under the front hood is clean and straight.
Inner panels sprayed with a "trunk paint" type finish.
I see a new hood latch installed and a decent spare on a Porsche style slotted rim.
Looks straight in here.
Under the engine seems reasonably dry.
That factory sunroof is a great option!
I like that the window rubbers have all the correct trim in place and everything looks super clean.
Aftermarket hubcaps look like new...same with the aluminum trim rings.
Chassis looks very solid underneath!

The bumpers feature the short "Euro" style bumper guards with no overriders.
The holes for the support tubes for the overriders are still open on the fenders so it would
be easy to go back to the US spec style bumpers if desired...or it looks plenty nice just as it is.
Fuel tank looks new!
Interior is very clean with the seats done in a nice vinyl with contrasting piping.
Steering wheel was restored by the folks at Koch's so it looks fantastic.
Dash is totally stock and clean with the radio block off in place.
Door panels are like new.
Modern audio hidden in the glove box~
You can see the speakers on the kick panels up front...nice install.
Headliner is like new.
Upholstered rear deck behind the back seats holds two 6X9 speakers.
Clean California title!
Hop in and drive it home!
Very good looking little Beetle and the quality of work done to it seems pretty nice.
More importantly it looks like a super solid and straight one underneath the glossy exterior.
The owner has it priced at a really good spot too...this is a very good deal from what I am seeing!
The current owner had had the car for about the last 10 years.
He bought it from a fellow that ran a local bodyshop pretty much as you see it.
The car was a side/hobby project for the builder...something to keep him occupied and he did
a wonderful and professional job of it.
The car has been driven only about 5000 miles over the past 10 years, just little jaunts here and there on a nice day.
It is always garaged and kept clean.
The carburator on the engine is only about a year old.
Good runner and driver.
In closing this is a really good car.
Solid body, factory sunroof, nice paint and interior, low miles since completion
always garaged...the list goes on and on.
