1962 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

This So Cal based Beetle was purchased in June of 2019
by the current owner, who got it from the nephew of the actual original owner
who had bought it new in 62 in Hollywood California.
Over the past few years it has undergone its transformation from a well loved but
well worn little Bug to the beautiful machine in these pics.
Paint and body done by Nobles Auto Body in Los Angeles

Copy of the original title remains with the car showing the black California
plates that are still on it today as well as sweet Elba Paredes, the original owner
The engine is a stock 1200 cc, possibly the original to the car
(undocumented though) that has been gone through as well as
converted to 12 volt electrics. Its a sweet runner and driver, ready to cruise.
Bosch blue coil, vacuum advance distributor, etc
This is a "stale air" 40hp without the air tubes from the fan shroud.
This would be correct for the era of the car.
Still retains the stale air heater boxes, and a modern header exhaust installed with single glass pack muffler.
Wiring is all clean and intact.

Bob Smith Hollywood plate frame on the original black California plates.
Clean title and current registration.
The 1300cc emblem is an odd addition, but the taillights
are correct as 1962 was the first year for this design on the Beetle
continuing through the 1967 model year.
Aftermarket replacement bumpers.
Hood has the proper Wolfsburg crest above the hood handle
and an added Volkswagen script emblem installed.
Albert swan neck mirrors added as well
Interior is very clean with all new seat upholstery and door panels.
Really sharp looking ride
Pop out rear quarter windows as weel!
Ignition switch is an aftermarket item mounted just below the radio hole.
New chrome replica Porsche alloys look sharp on the car.
Very nice look and stance to it...not slammed or anything crazy
Great color combo, cleanly done refinish,
great history and a lot of new parts and labor put into this car.
Tires are a 145-15 up front and a 205-65-15 out back
5.5" width rims in front and the "deep" 6's out back
Dropped front spindles to edge the nose down a bit...but otherwise pretty stock and proper.
Gulf Blue, nice chrome and trimmings and that Ivory white interior...very attractive.
